Tomorrow, the Sun Valley team
embarks on a “Flowers have Powers” Conference Tour of the Southeastern United
States, and we hope you come along!
A little bit about our theme—Flowers
Have Powers is about connecting consumers to the limitless possibilities that
flowers contain. They are not just beautiful eye-candy, they have
power. They have the power to inspire,
cheer, encourage, persuade, and more.
And during this whirlwind conference tour, we will find out what else
they have the power to do!
Stop #1: Miami; Floral Distribution Conference, organized by WFFSA (Wholesale Florist and Florist Supplier Association), October 21-23.
We love WFFSA and their continued
advocacy for all things Wholesale Floral. You can bet that our own Lane
DeVries will be making an appearance, and we'll also have a table fronted by
our Wholesale Mover and Shaker, Doug Dobecki.
This three day event starts tomorrow, October 21, and will offer opportunities to
connect and network with people from the industry, as well as speakers and workshops, and a chance to check out some beautiful flowers.
Come on by and say hello, and then join
us as we head north for the next stop...
Stop #2: Atlanta; Fresh Summit 2015, organized by PMA (Produce Marketing Association), October 23-25.
Immediately following Miami, we'll
be heading north to the annual PMA Fresh Summit in Atlanta. This is a
super fun, diverse, and colorful trade show, with booths by flower farmers,
produce farmers, shippers, suppliers, buyers, and everyone in between. We'll be there at
Booth #3869--look for our Flowers Have Powers graphics along with displays of
incredible (and powerful) color.
The cool thing about both these
conferences (and the organizations that put them on), is, of course, the wealth
of resources, education, and networking opportunities they provide, but ALSO
the opportunity that they give us—all of us, from all parts of the industry—to come
together, learn from each other, and be inspired by what we all bring to the
table.
So I guess we have learned yet another power that flowers
have—the power to bring us together.
Hope to see you all there!
